Letter from the President
Kerr Parents,
It is my great pleasure to serve as the Kerr PTO president for the 2017-18 school year. Along with my fellow board members we hope to do our best to bring great programming and enrichment to your children.
This year will be filled with transition, and I hope you can all assist in making this transition from the PTA to a PTO as seamless as possible. By voting to dissolve our PTA last spring that has left us with very little funds, so in order to do all the great programming we try to do every year we really need your help on the fundraising side.
I have been volunteering with at Kerr for the past three years. I have served as chair of the Kerr Directory, Staff Appreciation and our Vendor Blender. As well I served as the Vice President last year on our PTA board. My day job is as an Interior Design educator at Chatham University and at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh Online Division.
My goal this year as the PTO President is to get the Kerr community more involved in the PTO and encourage more participation in meetings, planning and events. I invite each of you to join the PTO and become involved. That can be as little as a making a donation to help keep our programs running, or volunteering at the school with your kids. We also have many volunteering options that can be done on evenings and from the comfort of your own home if your schedule doesn’t permit volunteering during school hours.
Please let me know if you have any questions at all or have any suggestions on how the board and I can help to make this a great year.
Sincerely,
Windy J. Neff
KPTO President
